1. Daily Maintenance
• Regular Cleaning: Wipe the surface of the panels with a damp cloth to remove water stains, dust, or mold. Avoid using acidic or corrosive cleaners to prevent damage to the surface coating.
• Maintain Ventilation: Use an exhaust fan or open windows to reduce humidity in the bathroom and extend the life of the panels.
• Inspect Joints: Regularly check the sealant at the panel joints for aging and reapply if necessary.
2. Common Problems and Solutions
• Water Leakage at Joints: If water stains are found at the panel joints, it may be due to aging sealant. Clean the old sealant and reapply high-quality waterproof sealant.
• Mold on the Back of the Ceiling: This may be due to poor ventilation or the ceiling not being waterproofed. Remove some panels, inspect the ceiling, apply waterproof coating, and improve ventilation.
• Deformed or Falling Panels: This is common with PVC panels or low-quality aluminum panels. It is recommended to replace them with high-quality aluminum panels and check the stability of the joists.
